I saw a Twins game at the Metrodome once. The fans were actually pretty lame. But I'm sure it's hard to get excited in a nasty dome after paying $20 to park outside (and that was in 1989, I'd hate to see what they charge now). The absolute lamest crowd I've seen was at an opening day game in Oakland. You'd have thought we were at a funeral.
Horrible fans? Try sitting in the outfield bleachers at Fenway. People actually stand up and urinate in the aisles. Try sitting anywhere at Yankee stadium. My wife and I were surrounded by a literal riot, as Indians fans (family of Manny Ramirez, who is from the Bronx - it was Manny's debut at Yankee stadium) came down to the lower deck and started beating on about 10 guys right in front of us. We literally had about 20-30 people on all sides of us, fighting, and no cops were in sight. The fight went on for several minutes when the fighters broke it off themselves and left. They came back down 3 innings later for a repeat performance. And there are no vendors in the stands in the upper deck - why? Because they get mugged. The "K" is a slice of heaven. Yankee is a slice of hell.
