Ok I am gonna do this a lil different this time. I am a stat freak and love to keep tabs on the farm system. During the season I am gonna keep track in this thread of only certain players that interest me and most of us here at Royals Nation. During ST and so far during the regular season I updated my stat thread daily,or at least i tried, but in this one I am only gonna update it weekly.

Brazell is causing a real predicament in the KC front office. Seems like a surplus of 1B/DH guys- even with Sweeney talking about moving to catcher.

How long before the Royals start trading excess talent like Butler or Brazell?

Craig Brazell now currently leads all minor leaguers with his 16 HRs. Since arriving at Omaha Brazell has hit 9 HR in only 13 AAA games this season including two straight games with 2 HRs each.For the season he is hitting .361 with 16 HR and 33 RBI (AA and AAA combined).

Well I have updated all the stats and as you can see, Billy Butler isn't the only big bat at Omaha right now. Craig Brazell has been on a tear lately. In 18 Games at Omaha Brazell has hit 13 HR and 24 RBIs. For the season Brazell has a combined 20 HR and that is the high mark right now in all the minors.

I doubt that Brazell sees the bigs as a Royal unless there is a trade or injury to someone(1B,DH). Another thought is that Brazell, if continues to hit like he is right now, could be traded away for pitching.

Pimental looks like a good prospect it may be Wilmington but those are very good numbers

And various updates throughout Royals Minor League Prospectville:

- Wilmington lefty Rowdy Hardy pitched a complete game gem against Winston-Salem on Sunday, June 16, striking out two and allowing six hits.

- Omaha lefty Tyler Lumsden struggled mightily on Sunday, allowing four runs and eight hits, striking out two and walking none in four innings.

- Wichita righty Carlos Rosa, our 2006 Minor League Pitcher of the Year, struggled last Friday, allowing six runs and ten hits in four innings.

- Billy Buckner is now getting starts for Omaha. He pitched a gem on June 14, going seven innings and allowing 11 hits, but only one run and six K's.

- Mike Aviles and Matt Tupman continue to perform well in Omaha. Aviles is hitting .317 with an .808 OPS and Matt Tupman is hitting well (.305), albeit without much power.

I have updated this thread again- this time i took off some players that are really struggling this season and I added some new players that are making some noise within the Royals system.
Derrick Robinson is one prospect that I am keeping an eye on. He has starting hit as of late and is blazing fast, stealing 15 bases this season in 16 attempts. Recently J.J. Picollo was on 810 and he stated that Derrick Robinson in his opinion was a steal in the 4th Round. Many teams passed on him in fear that he would accept the scholarship off to play football for the Florida Gators. Picollo also stated that Robinson is even faster than Joey Gathright, whom is considered by most one of if not the fastest player in MLB.
