I'll go ahead and begin this thread for the 2008 draft in the R.N. Fantasy Baseball league. Does anyone want to chime in on which players might become available in the draft, after their 12-man rosters are submitted? I'm still pondering over my final cuts, here are my men as it stands: Varitek, Hafner, Polanco, Zimmerman, Tulowitzki, Beltran, Swisher, Kemp, Del. Young, J. Upton, Y. Escobar, K. Greene, T. Hudson, Lincecum, Baker, Buchholz, Wainwright, Saito, Fuentes, Okajima......so 20 men. 8 will have to be cut. Should be an interesting draft!  |

I would think Escobar, Greene, Baker and Bucholz would be easy cuts in that list. Hafner, Tulowitzki, Beltran, Swisher, Hudson, Saito, Lincecum are automatics to keep. The rest are a tough choice. I am still pondering my final list as well. I have it down to about 15 players though. |

I'll take the advice of mtroyals and, like Dayton Moore, keep my Fantasy Team whereabouts close to vest, but seeping through my list, it's probably pretty apparent which players I am likely to retain. Also, looking through some other rosters, it appears there are a) obvious keepers, b) obvious droppers, and c) players in-between. Some players have more question marks than other teams. You know my philosophy! Draft the best talent available!  |

Varitek now becomes (arguably) the best catcher available for the draft, thus far, of course.
I'll probably wait until the final days to make my next decision.

When's the draft gonna be held We can begin discussing this in the coming few weeks. I'm open for a Saturday or Sunday, maybe sometime in early March? |

I just looked at my squad for the first or second time ever. Wow, I have some serious cleaning up to do, IMO.
Those that are safe: Jojihma, Roberts, Wright, Ramirez, M., Holliday, Smoltz, Maine, Wagner, Myers.
Everyone else is pretty expendable at this point.
