We went a little crazy Where you been ? Sorry, I was on the phone with a certain someone. I was off-and-on watching the game...until Soria came in, of course. I'm going to be back on tomorrow morning to announce the winners and hand out those handy karma pts. What a thread. This is what regular game threads should look like. Nice work, d9, RoR, gil, esmithe & the gang!

Hey guys, I posted this earlier but I don't think anyone said anything about it... could we boycott ESPN? The majority of team's fans don't like them either but those fans depend on them for highlights and sports news. I don't pay any attention to ESPN during football, basketball, hockey seasons to know whether they do more for bigger markets or not... but could we get fans of the 24 MLB teams to get together and make an impact?? Could we do that without getting sued? I like this girl's thinking. I rather call this sports network E!SPN (notice the play on the name). They have lost the sense of covering all sports, and would rather cover such entertainment things as hot dog eating contests, street ball and Madden tournaments. Get back to covering equal coverage for ALL teams, including those in smaller markets. A few nights ago, when DDJ hit the walk-off home run, there was NO coverage of it on their capstone show, Sportscenter. That show itself has turned into an utter piece of garbage. I remember back in the day, even 10-15 years ago, SC was the best. Stuart Scott and Kenny Mayne were the primo duo for that show. But now I've lost total interest in stomaching it, so I turn to the FSN Final Score. That show at least gives me what I want: a recap of the day's action. Game wise, wow wee. I watched for a while before thunderstorms succumbed me to head for cover and the haystack. I'm damn happy to see the Mexicutioner get almost two innings. Francona could had stuck w/him against Adrian Gonzalez. Oh well, AL is victorious and send more karma points to me.

P2C winners: American League won, so the following members earn 3 karma points: esmithe, plotty, gilgameche, dejesus9, sahurst As far as actual player picks-to-click, I'll nominate the official ASG MVP, J.D. Drew, for the American League side. My National League selection might be a shocker for some of you. Aaron Cook pitched three scoreless innings and did a terrific job of overcoming several jams. Pitching in tight situations is a retainable skill, in my opinion, so despite some jitters early in the innings, he made the 'clutch' pitching when it counted. Drew: 2-for-4, 2-R HR, 2 RBI, 1 BB, 1 R Cook: 3 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 1 K Sorry, no P2C winners for this segment. Maybe next year I'll expand it to five possibilities, since pitchers are included. Soria DID pitch! So.....plotty, gilgameche, dejesus9, RoR1fan, sahurst get 1 karma pt.

Also real quick before the game starts I'm having second thoughts change mine pick to the AL ummm Alright --- changed it. By the way, for my sake....if you're going to change your selections, modify your old post instead of creating a new one. It saves me a TON of time (I don't have much of it) and we won't have to go through corrections like these.
