Bluntly, I thought this list is pretty complete with talented players. There were no obvious choices - for me, at least - in the first round. I took this list from two sources, actually, and one of them was the SABR list posted on Baseball Almanac. As for Appling, he posted largely devoid power #'s in a power-surged era, although I understand he was a SS. However, his defense was awful at a prime-D position (SS).
