1royalway gets 4 karma points for his correct prediction (Colorado advancing to WS). I didn't make it known, but I was starting again at 2 points for each ALCS re-do, so dejesus9, sfcchase, and yours truly get 2 points for their correct (2nd) predictions.

If anyone wants to predict the World Series winner, I'll throw a karma point your way if you're correct.
I'll go with Red Sox in 6.

Well it appears that there is a new hot team in baseball. The Red Sox have it clicking on all cylinders right now, scoring 10+ runs in 3 straight after beating the Rockies last night 13-1 in the World Series opener. Their pitching has also got back to form, it appears that the Rockies' "Magic Carpet Ride" may be over. What a run they have put together getting where they are now, but I have two questions to ask:
1) If the Red Sox continue to dominate and sweep the World Series and in doing so their offense continues to pound out hits and runs- will their offensive explosion in the postseason be what is remembered and talked about from this year or will the Rockies run to the World Series still be what is remembered?
2) Can you name 1 starting pitcher that you would rather have on your team heading into the postseason besides Josh Beckett? Anyone? I mean seriously this kid is a dominant pitcher that once he gets into the postseason turns it up another notch and is as close to perfect as you can get without being perfect. I think what is scary is that this past season he won 20 games and is pitching better now in the postseason than he did in the regular season.I think I heard somewhere that he has lost like only 1 decision since late July- in this day in age of baseball IMO that is remarkable and so is Josh Beckett.

Four karma points to RoR1fan for his correct World Series winner prediction back on the CS posts. I'm a tad surprised nobody predicted the Red Sox would win initially (small market bias!
