Yeah, I agree. For some team he would make a fine 2nd or 3rd round draft choice, but we need pitching, middle infielders, and catchers the worst. Not first basemans.

#2 Matt Wieters
#3 Andrew Brackman
#23 Matt LaPorta
My first pick would be Price if he's their no doubt at all.

there is no way TB does NOT take Price so I think it's a no brianer we should take Wieters

I have already started investing in Matt Wieters cards on E-Bay so I hope he is our man at #2. Last season I was all set to start grabbing up Andrew Miller stuff but luckily I didn't since we went with Hochevar, I hope the same doesn't happen again.

At this point I can say confidently that I would take Rick Porcello. He looks like a stud to me. He has great stuff, mechanics, and he's tall and skinny.

With Brackman being inconsistant so far this spring and Weiters playing good but not great baseball so far, David Price has really distanced himself as the elite player of this draft. I do not see any way for Price not going #1 to Tampa.
Also this week Max Scherzer signed with the Ft Worth Cats in the American Assoc. just like Hochevar did last year. If he shows the same stuff he did as a Soph/USA representative, then he could be the pick for the Royals.

I guess the question is now, assuming Price is off the board, who do the Royals pick? Matt Weiters, Max Scherzer, Ross Detwiler, Matt Harvey, Josh Vitters, or Rick Porcello? Thats 3 HS players and 3 college guys.
