OK, here are a few thoughts on the first 9 eliminated. By the way, thanks to the people who have responded. 1. Hideo Nomo (I can see it....he was a Spring Training pitcher to begin with) 2. Luke Hudson (I would have pegged him #1, even above Nomo, although he could be mediocre to average if he ever fully recovered from his injury) 3. Jose Guillen (Unfair, deserves to go top 10....just IMO) 4. Tony Pena (I can see it) 5. Shane Costa (Understandable....AAAA player because of his MLB service time) 6. Ryan Braun (I can see it) 7. Matt Tupman (Would have eliminated him - maybe - above Braun. Backup catchers don't get much resentment around the Royals blogosphere - LaRue aside - though LaRue wasn't technically a backup  ) 8. Mitch Maier (I can see it) 9. Tyler Lumsden (Would probably select Olivo over a pitcher with #4 upside) |
