ALSO
KANSAS CITY -- Right-hander Julio Pimentel pitched one scoreless inning for the World team in the All-Star Futures Game on Sunday at Yankee Stadium. Pimentel, the Royals' only representative in the game, gave up one hit and one walk to the U.S. team with two outs in the fifth inning. However, he ended the threat by striking out Greg Golson on three pitches.
For the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, the Royals' club in the Double-A Texas League, Pimentel has a 4-9 record and 5.85 ERA in 18 starts.
