Another Baird signee. I still can only wonder what kind of executive he'd be if he had had money to work with. He made plenty of mistakes, but people should look at that through a Glass-covered shroud of menacing meddling.

Moose has his average up to .251 and hit his 5th HR of the year this last week. He also has taken over the lead in RBIs for Burlington at 19 after his slow start.

OK, since the last update....
.....the AZL Royals, DSL Royals, Burlington Royals, and Idaho Falls Chukars teams have announced their 2008 rosters.
.....28 (I believe) of our draft picks have signed
.....and several prospects' stock has fallen: Mike Moustakas (still extremely premature to put too much weight into it, though), Mario Lisson (might he need a conversion to catcher?), Jason Taylor, David Lough, David Wood, Mike Stodolka, among several others. This organization still seems to lack good hitting first basemen.
.....and several prospects' stock has risen: Kila Kaaihue, Kyle Martin (though his P.T. has been limited), Blake Wood (even still)
From B.P.:
19. Mike Moustakas, SS, Royals Eligible Next Year? Yes Production: .228/.285/.386 at Low-A (66 G) Stock Report: Down some. His adjustment to pro ball and cold weather led to a miserable start, and while he?s been better lately, the overall performance is still disappointing.
72. Luke Hochevar, RHP, Royals Eligible Next Year? No Production: 2.60 ERA at Triple-A (17.1-11-6-12); 4.36 ERA at MLB (65.2-66-32-45) Stock Report: Unchanged. Now a permanent part of the Royals, Hochever looks like a solid mid-rotation starter, but scouts don?t see much more coming.
