Like last year, we are continuing the postseason contest here at Royals Nation. This is your chance, once again, to earn big karma points.
Predict the following - Which team will win each matchup (division series, championship series, World Series) - How many games they will win the contest in (3, 4, 5, 6, or 7)
Submit your bracket for the 2008 postseason below!
Entries must be submitted no later than Wednesday, October 1 at 7:00PM. Because of time constraints, I'm giving you past the starting time for the Milwaukee/Philadelphia game. But hurry - because the polls close in about 27 hours.
Correct winner of each Division Series: 3 karma points each Correct winner of each Championship Series: 5 karma points each Correct winner of the World Series: 10 karma points each
Here is my bracket. Just copy and paste, or submit your own. Remember to be consistent with your picks!
Division Series American League Los Angeles of Anaheim over Boston in 5 games Tampa Bay over Chicago/Minnesota in 4 games National League Milwaukee over Philadelphia in 5 games Chicago over Los Angeles in 4 games
Championship Series American League Los Angeles of Anaheim over Tampa Bay in 6 games National League Chicago over Milwaukee in 6 games
World Series Los Angeles of Anaheim over Chicago in 6 games
Notes: I will grant everyone a chance to submit their selections for World Series MVP's once the Championship Series concludes for a chance to earn an extra 10 karma points!

^Yes, d9. I forgot to mention that....1 karma pt. extra for the correct # of games guessed. But, in order to do that, you have to also name the correct team (i.e. the correct winner). Once again, I prove awful at postseason predictions. RN: 3 pts. RoR1fan: 3 pts. gilgameche: 6 pts. raelg14: 6 pts. sahurst: 6 pts. sfcchase: 9 pts. dejesus9: 6 pts. Correct # of games: RN: +1 pt. raelg14: +1 pt. sahurst: +1 pt. sfcchase: +1 pt. dejesus9: +2 pts. So, in total (through the Division Series):RN: 4 RoR1fan: 3 gilgameche: 6 raelg14: 7 sahurst: 7 sfcchase: 10 dejesus9: 8 ....Thus far!!

Yes, late predictions are welcome. Anyone can still get their CS & WS predictions in....get 'em in by Thursday, though (that's the first game). Say....whenever the game starts.

So could I change my WS prediction to have Boston as the AL team ?

^Actually.....just for fairness...it's best if we just go with the predictions we already made. I don't want to be fair to those people who might not have the site available for the next few days. So the predictions are as they stand.
