Consider this thread an open discussion for all things 2008 postseason. Don't forget to catch Baseball This Week with Greg Schaum and Marty Wall every Wednesday from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. on KCSP 610 Sports. I will be a guest on the October 22 installment. For the American League Championship Series, it is two A.L. East rivals.... Boston Red Sox (95-67, Wild Card) vs. Tampa Bay Rays (97-65, 1st Place) ....and for the National League Championship Series, it is.... Los Angeles Dodgers (84-78, 1st Place) vs. Philadelphia Phillies (92-70, 1st Place) GAME ON!

Hey, Jack, do you realize that you put "all things 2008 Royals postseason"? ... I wish. Sometimes when I'm making these threads, I'm thinking about one sentence ahead. Given how much work I do at this website, sometimes I'm thinking about 5,000 things at once. Sorry about this. But I was practicing my sealegs (or sea-fingers) for next year's playoff run! ;D

What a postseason for the Rays. Just the epitomy of the low-payroll team built largely through the draft. They are going to experience some surplusses in the next couple years to come. (I wonder if we could snag Edwin Jackson from them this winter?)
Either way, we'll be discussing them Wednesday night on Baseball This Week. Their rotation will be dynamic, but the team overall will be fun to root for in the next few years.

Looks like the World Series has been postponed. Hopefully, they can make up the game in Philadelphia. Why am I finding myself rooting for Philadelphia in recent days?

On the Phillies website it says that tomorrow, they're going to make up the game and then... uh... if necessary, play game 6 in Tampa??
7:37 CT is when the make up game is scheduled for.
They're gonna play 3 innings in Philly beginning at EIGHT-THIRTY, and then fly to Tampa and start Game 6 (if necessary) at like 10:30 Eastern? (Well, the time on the schedule is TBD, but it'd have to be around then, wouldn't it?)
