Here is the baseball offseason calendar, per the K.C. Star:

The offseason calendar started last Thursday, the first day after the end of the World Series, when the 15-day filing period opened for eligible free agents. Those players can only negotiate and sign with their former team until Nov. 14.

Nov. 20: Clubs must file their reserve lists. Non-protected players with sufficient professional service are then eligible for selection Dec. 11 in the Rule 5 draft.

Dec. 1: Final day for clubs to offer arbitration to their own free agents, which ensures a compensatory draft pick if the player signs with another team. If a player signs elsewhere before Dec. 1, his former team automatically receives compensation.

Dec. 7: Final day for a free agent to accept an offer of arbitration from his former club. If he accepts such an offer, he is no longer a free agent.

Dec. 8-11: Winter meetings in Las Vegas, Nev. This is when the trade market should really heat up.
