Wow. Smoke and mirrors to a good ERA. The Midwest League is a big-time pitchers league and Mario does sport a nice ERA with the help of a very good defense behind him. Even his nice 3.69 ERA is only good enough for 16th in the league and his 38 BB to 66 SO in 126.2 IP is not very encouraging. I think his ceiling is that of a AA long reliever. Having a defense of Dickerson, Robinson, and Walton in the OF sure helps eliminate a lot of hits with their speed as they can track down a lot of those long flyballs that turn into homeruns in AA. I think Mario's time in this game is almost up.
