Royals Nation faithful, welcome to the second - and new - edition of R.N. Survivor. This edition is called "Minor League Survivor". It features 100 Minor Leaguers within our system. Because there are dozens of Minor Leaguers within our system, I decided to narrow this down to Minor Leaguers who fit these four categories:
- Non-prospects who are performing well at any Minor League level. (Examples: Rowdy Hardy, Mike Aviles)
- Players who have had some time at the Major Leagues (Examples: Shane Costa, Craig Brazell)
- Prospects who have high upside and have at least a slim probability of someday becoming Major Leaguers (Examples: Luke Hochevar, Gabe DeHoyos)
- High draft picks from the past few years who, regardless of recent performance, still have upside and *hype* (See: Jason Taylor, Sam Runion)
Below is a list of 100 Royals Minor League players to choose from. I look at this contest as a learning experience for the many posters who don't already have an extensive knowledge of players within our organization. Also, I view this contest as a chance for Minor League junkies and those who would like to still learn more about the players themselves (like yours truly) to show off their skills and have a say on which players will *stay* and which will be *eliminated*.
The rules are identical to the rules of the original Royals Survivor. Here they are:
- Like the previous edition of Survivor, Minor Leaguers will be eliminated one by one until we reach the final Minor League player.
- This contest will be performed by round. In one round, THREE votes for ONE player will eliminate that player.
- Only one member is allowed to vote in one particular round.
"Minor League Survivor" will ultimately be your chance to exercise your skills as "Fantasy Scout". Decide which players will go, and decide which players will stay!
The list above may seem extensive, so I have shortened it for your viewing pleasure. If you don't have a knowledge of our Minor League systems, do not fear! You can vote for anyone you would like, based on any merits you would like!
The goal/objective for this game is to a) not take it too seriously and have a good time while b) learning about our Minor League players.
Also, please note that this list *does* include Mike Moustakas. After toying with the idea of whether or not to include him, I have decided to include him. If he does not sign by August 15, his name will be eliminated from the contest.
*Edit* Moustakas is now on the list.
I have provided some basic information about each of the 100 Minor Leaguers. The information includes their selection in the draft and their Minor League statistics. I will try to keep these statistics up to date, as this contest could take weeks.
Let Minor League Survivor begin!

Honestly, I had no idea what happened to Jason Taylor. What exactly happened? I know the United States is a country that promotes the concept of "Innocent Until Proven Guilty", but I'm going to officially change my vote to Jason Taylor.
So, on that note, Taylor has been the first eliminated from the Top 100!
Onward to the next round.....
I know he's drafted as a shortstop, but I also need to find out what happened to Luis Cota. I'll vote for him in the second round.

Believing in Talent, not "club house chemistry", I'll take Elijah Dukes anyday.
