Plus a lot of people think Rowdy's a neat name. And the Christenson comparison dosn't seem fair as I don't remember Danny ever doing that great at any level.

If one looks at Rowdy's splits at midseason, he had something of an 7:1 or 8:1 K:BB ratio, and had only allowed two home runs all year. Forget dominant - this guy had been truly historically great (judging by the numbers) leading up to the final month of the Rocks' regular season. He's a great story, and has a legitimate shot, in my opinion, to be at least a left handed relief pitcher in the big league level. Relievers like Chad Bradford have proven that one can be a soft-tossing yet successful reliever at the big-league level. And just look at Jamie Moyer.

Rowdy will come close to winning. I know that. I know why they're voting for him. I'm voting based on who I think has the best chance to do the most for the Royals the longest.
I didn't mention Christensen first, but Christensen didn't pitch too bad last year in High Desert. Looking at his peripherals, it would be interesting to see what he would have done last year in a better ballpark.

Mike "Hire Scott Boras and hold out til the very end to get all my money" Moustakas !!!
Then he goes 0-for-7 in the Idaho Falls two playoff games. He isn't my favorite Royals minor league player. (Though I do think he will be a heck of a big leaguer some day.)
