I really like Willy Mo Pena if we can package Reggie and Dotel for him I would be happy with that deal Me to WMP has a lot of power if he get's playing time every day he could hit 30-35 HRs. If you read the comments on MLBTR the Boston fans would also throw in Kayson Gabbard.

I would actually probably rather have Gabbard than Pena. Gabbard has been a slow adjuster at the Minor League levels, probably because he was rushed. But he might be a nice #4/#5-type pitcher. Hochevar could still be a #2 and Bannister could be a #3. Don't overestimate Pena's ability to hit with power making him a productive everyday player. He's still only 24, and has never been given an everyday shot other than one year in Cincinnati (he was only 21-22), but he has "Pedro Serrano" disease - an inability to hit a curveball and a knack for not getting on base. He might be a valuable threat off the bench, but it seems he's the Rob Deer of the 2000s - tons of raw power but nothing else. Sorry, boys, but I think we're making too much out of Gabbard's good start against us.

well he followed it up with a great start vs Chicago so it's not like it was a one time thing

He doesn't have that much of a minor league track record and he's a 25 year old rookie. I think we might be able to get Pena for Sanders, which I'm in favor of, due to Boston's anxiousness to get rid of him. But I think we can do better than Gabbard for Dotel.
BA didn't even list Gabbard in Boston's Top 30 prospects. I think we could surely get some team to give us one of their top 12 for Dotel.

According to a poster over at the Scout Boards:

Reggie Sanders has been traded...
unfortunately that's all I know. I work for FedEx and I had a pickup at his town home this morning. He shipped out 10 wardrobe boxes to Arizona (most likely his permanent home). I asked him where he was headed but he said he couldn't say yet. He was really friendly and helped me get the boxes into the truck. I've always been impressed with him as a person, I just wish we would have had him when he was 10 years younger. Sorry I couldn't provide more info, but it should break soon.

I'm a bit skeptical because I doubt FedEx wants their employers divulging stuff like that

Per Soren Petro, Reggie Sanders has *not* been traded and *is* in the starting lineup tonight.

www.mlbtraderumors.com/2007/07/grudzielanek-le.htmlA friendly emailer tells me that Royals second baseman Mark Grudzielanek was in the original lineup, but was scratched at the last minute. Joe Girardi says he may be headed to the Mets. We'll keep you posted. And now back to my sweet n' sour chicken. And an update on Reggie Sanders: according to Girardi, Reggie was just shipping his kids' stuff off to Arizona, where they'll go to school. False alarm.

Somebody slap one of these MLBTradeRumors guys' hands.
Grudzielanek Leaves Game
UPDATE: Turns out Grudz is just day-to-day with soreness. The Mets deny any rumor that they've traded for him. Two Royal false alarms today, sorry about that.
