Scott Elarton will be activated before Tuesday's game to face the New York Yankees....a matchup made in baseball heaven.
Although the club hasn't officially announced who will be sent back to Omaha, all signs point to Ryan Braun being deactivated once again.

Dayton Moore has confirmed that Kyle Davies will join the 25-man roster and start on Friday against the Yankees. Apparently the Royals aren't concerned with giving an inexperienced, struggling, young 23 year old pitcher the exposure against the dreaded Yanks.

The Royals placed lefty "Odie" Perez on the D.L. before Wednesday's game against the White Sox, and recalled outfielder Shane Costa from AAA Omaha.
Manager Bell indicated the club will likely place outfielder Mark Teahen on the D.L. before Friday's game against Cleveland. If that's the case, Costa will likely stay on the club as a pitcher would then be recalled from Omaha or activated from the Disabled List.

Brandon Duckworth is scheduled to come off the Disabled List on Saturday to start in the Metrodome in Minnesota. Since the 40-man roster rule will begin on September 1, nobody is likely to be deactivated.

Much to the excitement of our veteran-loving "old school" manager, Mike Sweeney was reinstated from the 60-Day Disabled before the second Friday game against Minnesota. Kyle Davies was optioned to Wichita, and John Thomson was moved from the 15-Day D.L. to the 60-Day D.L.
